To become truly great, you only need to strive to be a little better every day. This doesn’t mean that you need to transform yourself in dramatic ways each day, as that's an obviously impossible task. Instead, focus on the little things add up over time. With a little planning and effort, you can become transformed over the course of your life in major ways. In order for us to become better people, we need to understand that we are going to make mistakes, however, it's important that we don't allow those mistakes to stop us from attempting to renew ourselves every day!
Take some time before bed, or first thing in the morning, to set small measurable goals that you can work toward each day, and then build upon them as you succeed. Nothing is off the table when trying to become a better being! Whether focusing on your health, family, mood, relationships, etc., really doesn’t matter. If it’s important to you, it’s important!
Striving to be better every day will gives us purpose, keep us motivated, and gives us amazing fulfillment in knowing that we are better than we were yesterday, a week ago, and certainly a year ago! I know that I am a much better version of myself today at 46-years-old than I was when I was 36 (and I thought I was pretty awesome at 36). Some days will be better than others, and some days we won’t achieve our goals, but that’s OK. We just need to keep building upon who we are today. In the end, it’s about who we ‘become’ and the fulfilling journey it took for us to get there!
